In a developing economy like us, there ought to be growth in all sectors. Air traffic sector is proving to be one. Frequency of operations of flights and the increasing number of air commuters call for expansion of airports to facilitate accommodating more number of aircraft and runways.

Considering these factors, airport expansion has become unavoidable and land acquisition a must.

We must also recognise the forethought of the railway organisation which has left enough space for expansion all along the course in its very vast network.
