Heritage buildings of Madurai: Voice your views

Stunning

Madurai boasts of several heritage buildings like Meenakshi Amman Temple, Thirumalai Naicker Palace, Gandhi Museum etc. The temple has a stunning architecture and it was a front runner in the seven new wonders of the world selection. The 248 pillars each 58 feet high and five feet in diameter in Thirumalai Naicker Palace are again architectural feats. The Gandhi Museum is meant to be a living institution which helps an ever increasing number of people, particularly the youth of the country to understand and value the life, work and teachings of Gandhiji. All heritage buildings depict our culture. They also serve as tourist spots.

V.K.Subahari,

Madurai.
