A magic fete titled ‘Vismayam 2008’ is on from April 27 to May 4

Magic Academy in association with Department of Tourism Government of Kerala is holding an international magic festival titled ‘Vismayam 2008.’
With magicians from all across the world gathering in the city for the event, the magic words ‘abracadabra’ will be heard across the city as they go around casting a magical web of fantasy and illusion.
The magical fiesta starts at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium at 7 p.m. on April 27 with the inauguration by K. Radhakrishna, speaker, Kerala Legislative Assembly.
April 29 has 10 magicians performing ‘blind fold ride’ at Kanakakunnu Palace at 3 p.m.
Brand of magic
Known for their rope tricks, street magicians from North India will charm the audience with their brand of magic at Manaveeyam Veedhi on April 29 at 4 p.m. Catch the ‘Bullet catching act’ by Prince Sill from West Bengal at Gandhi Park on April 30, 5 p.m.
Magicians Fukai from Japan and George Blass from Spain conduct a gala show at the University Senate Hall on May 1 at 7 p.m. The following day has acts of magic by renowned magicians from across the world. It is a battle of the magicians on May 3.
A magical road train leaves for Kanyakumari on May 4 with the theme ‘1000 Magicians for World Peace.’
The fete ends the same day at Kanyakumari at 6.30 p.m.
