A taste of Orissa

A dance production on Orissa’s history and culture

Odissi exponent Ipsita Behoora presents a dance production “Utkalini” this coming Sunday at Kamani auditorium, 7.30 p.m.

Described as a “fusion ballet”, the production weaves together various dance forms including Odissi, Chhau, Laudi Nritya and folk dance of Orissa. “Utkalini” centres on the history and culture of Orissa and features dancers of Ipsita’s Samooha Pratidhwani troupe.

It is choreographed by Odissi Guru Kanduri Charan Behera with music by Saroj Mohanty.
