The Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards for the best movies of 2007

The Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards is back this year.
The awards ceremony will honour the movies released in 2007.
Audiences in South India will have an opportunity to vote for their favourite stars and movies.
The final nomination list includes Vijay, Madhavan, Rajnikant, Suriya and Ajith in the Favourite Hero category; Trisha, Shreya, Jyothika, Nayantara and Asin in the Favourite Actress category; “Paruthiveeran”, “Mozhi”, “Billa”, “Shivaji” and “Pokkiri” in the Favourite Film category and the Favourite Director category included Ameer, Vishnuvardhan, Prabhu Deva, Radha Mohan and Shankar.
Apart from the favourite category awards there are 25 jury award categories that have been judged by K. Bagyaraj, Yuhi Sethu, Lizzy Priyadarshan and Madan.
This year, two special category awards have been introduced — the Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award for Excellence in Cinema and the Contribution to Tamil Cinema award. The star-studded event is to take place on Saturday (May 3) at the Nehru Indoor Stadium and will see performances by Sada, Ragasiya, BlaaZe, Nisha Kothari, Kamna Jethmalani, Samiksha and Neha Bhasin.
