Schism

Schism tells the story of a rift between two lovers. Maynard James Keenan’s philosophical lyrics and some heavy art guitaring by Adam Jones won this song a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. The density of Maynard’s voice is addictive. Tool takes heavy metal to a new high with this track which culminates with a destructive drum solo and some amazing bass lines by Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor.
