Brand Ishant

Ishant Sharma joins the league of brand ambassadors

Selling point Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma says the rivalry and competition with Ricky Ponting is limited to the cricket field. “Off it we are friends and colleagues,” says Ishant, who in IPL was seen taking advice from team mate Ponting. Taking some time out of IPL, Ishant spared some time and joined the league of brand ambassadors. Meridian Mobiles’ flagship brand Fly mobiles launched him as its latest brand ambassador. Ishant is the second endorser of the brand with Malaika Arora Khan already on board.

Ishant Sharma was chosen because of his youthful charm and flamboyance which the mobile company claims customers would find in their product too. Fly mobiles, launched in 2006, plans to spend Rs.250 crore this year, with more focus on print ads. Grey Worldwide has been engaged to execute the campaigns.

Luxury phones

Ishant’s launch as the brand’s new face was accompanied by the launch of two new handsets, MC 100 and LX 610. The unique feature of MC 100 is its Yamaha audio band, whereas LX 610 is a part of the luxury phones collection. Ishant seemed upbeat about this association and was confident that both of them would have something to offer each other in the long run.
