Children can discover the actor in themselves at a camp which starts today

Mantra Events organises a theatre art camp for children aged above six from May 15 at the Ladies Club, Near Tower Park, Anna Nagar. For details call 98408 60781.
Through a series of workshops and mini courses, kids will get a chance to delve into fields as diverse as theatre. Experts in the respective fields will guide them. The session starts at 10 a.m. and will go on till 1p.m.
The first two hours will be dedicated to learning various electives. This will keep the kids fit, help them build skills and familiarise themselves with various aspects of theatre such as scripting, voice projection and modulation.
The next one hour will be spent in preparation for a skit to be presented on the final day. This will include a range of activities and even could be one-off type workshops.
The modules are body language, acting, emoting, voice training,
stage movement, costume and makeup.
