Melodious numbers

MUSIC The audio release of "Vallamai Thaaraayo" was held recently

The audio release function of Giriguja Films International's "Vallamai Thaaraayo" was held at Rani Meiyammai Hall. The CD was released by music director Bharadwaj and was received by singer P.B. Srinivas. Some of the popular actors from the yesteryears were also felicitated including Veerasamy, Ravichandran, Vijayakumar, Manjula, M.N. Rajam, A.L. Ragavan, "Venniraadai" Nirmala, Sathyapriya, Srikanth and `Film News' Anandan. Directors Rama.Narayanan, Visu, K.S. Ravikumar and Abirami Ramanathan wished the debutant director Madhumitha all success. Two songs one each by Anuradha Sriram and music director Bharadwaj were sung live on stage with the Raack Academy's dancers setting the stage afire. Two other numbers were shown on the screen, which have been beautifully picturised by the director. The lead stars of the film are Parthipan and Chaya Singh.

There are 10 songs in the album and one is a repeat number but sung bydifferent singers. The first one is `Vallamai Thaaraayo', a theme track sung by Bharadwaj. The flute is enchanting in this song. The second one `En Veettil' sung by Srinivas and Jaya Rajagopal is slow paced. The third is `Unnaithan Unnaithan' written by Pa- .Vijai and sung by Anuradha Sriram has a beautiful veena piece in the background. `Kolattam' is mass number, the song is written by Andal Priyadharshini and sung by Janani Bharadwaj, Jaya and Baradwaj. `Mangalam Pongidum Dhinam' is a song, which can be played at weddings. Kamakodiyan's lyrics with the voice of S.P. Balasubramaniam make it a worthy number. `Ayiram Vanavil' is the song sung by two singers Chinmayi and Nithyashree and both have done justice to the number. `Megam Illamal' written by Pa.Vijay and sung by Bharadwaj is another good number.
