Goodyear launches Assurance tyre range

Goodyear has launched the Assurance range of tyres for passenger cars in India. These tyres have special features which make them safer and more durable for tough Indian conditions. These tyres have what Goodyear likes to call ‘ArmorGrip’ technology. The tyre’s construction features a layer of high-strength Kevlar, and this provides the carcass with greater strength, especially over sharp-edged potholes or rocks, which you find a lot in our country. The tread is designed to provide maximum grip in wet weather conditions, and has what Goodyear calls a ‘three-dimensional Waffle Blade’ system. This prevents the tread blocks from deforming under cornering and hard braking, while a new silica-based tread compound has been developed especially for monsoon, which provides for shorter braking distances in the wet.

The Assurance range of tyres will be available in 14-, 15- and 16-inch rim sizes.
