Four-legged models At the canine fashion show
Not quite like the Pet Fashion Week NY but the Happiness Dog Fashion Show was sensational enough to attract a big gathering of dog lovers at the VGP resort recently.
Sharing the ramp with models, 14 dogs showed off their manes and skins. Having received the benefits of the Happiness range of grooming products over a period, these dogs (Shih Tzus, a Poodle, a Miniature Pinscher and a Chihuahua, among other breeds) advertised the brand. A Shih Tzu named Melody, a champion in seven countries, was touted as brand ambassador.
The event marked the launch of Happiness in India by Vetri of Le Grand Pet Products. Happiness, which comes from Hearty Shih Tzu, a kennel in Thailand run by Papitchya Sukomoi, is well-known in South East Asia. Although Papitchya and Vetri are known for their unflinching interest in Shih Tzus, Happiness has products for both short and long-maned dogs and dogs with specific skin conditions.
The 13 products include Concentrate Shampoo (for dogs with sensitive skin), Gentle Formula Shampoo (for puppies and kittens), Whitening Shampoo (helps remove and prevent yellow colouration), Anti Flea & Tick Shampoo (contains anti-bacterial eucalyptus), Nourishing Shampoo (to strengthen the coat and reduce hair loss), Anti-disease Skin Shampoo (uses a formula for skin problems, specifically ‘seborrhoea’), Leave On Moisturiser (helps untangle and gives volume to manes), Concentrate Conditioner (repairs and strengthens dry coats) and Milky Spray (protects your pet’s coat from damage caused by blow driers or flat irons, and also acts as a sunscreen).
