Ishant Sharma as brand ambassador

Selling point Ishant Sharma

Ishant Sharma says the rivalry and competition with Ricky Ponting is limited to the cricket field. “Off it we are friends and colleagues,” he says. Taking some time out of IPL, Ishant has joined the league of brand ambassadors. Meridian Mobiles’ flagship brand Fly mobiles launched him as its latest brand ambassador. Malaika Arora Khan is already on board.

Ishant was chosen because of his youthful charm and flamboyance which the mobile company claims customers would find in their product too.

Fly mobiles plans to spend Rs.250 crore this year on ads. Grey Worldwide will execute the campaigns.

Luxury phones

Ishant’s launch was accompanied by that of two new handsets, MC 100 and LX 610.

Ishant seemed upbeat about this association and was confident that both of them would have something to offer each other in the long run.
