We see statues of political leaders belonging to different castes in nook and corner of all cities. Those who install the statue do not follow their leader’s preachings. If the very purpose of installation of statues is questioned, it is better that they be removed. We have enough statues and photographs of great leaders in Parliament and Assemblies. Further installation of statues may be done in the same area and not in public places. How many of us give respect to Gandhi’s statue installed in many places? If the father of the nation is not respected we do not deserve to install any other statue anywhere else.
