Punishment
When Rajaji was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, he ordered the removal of all statues of British leaders which were kept in the Government museum. Rajaji observed in the Assembly that the museum was the proper place for keeping these statues for proper protection. Similarly, the present Government is thinking of providing shelter to all statues to avoid vandalism. It is an Irony that when these leaders were alive they were in prison for a noble and national cause. Now, their statues are to be caged against anti-social elements. By desecrating the statues, people end up showing anger against a particular caste. Severe punishment should be imposed on these offenders to avoid further trouble.
