Flavours anew

New American favourites now available at TGI Friday’s

Distinguished for its pan American décor and sumptuous variety of food, T.G.I. Friday’s adds another feather to its cap by introducing a fresh palette of American Cuisine to its main menu in the coming three months. The restaurant aims to incorporate the preferred ones into their main menu. One can choose from an array of options, starting from some refreshing salads like the Los Angeles almond salad, which has crispy almond crusted chicken atop a medley of salad mix. It comes toasted in a tangy balsamic salad dressing. Or there’s the vegetarian counterpart called the Los Angeles cottage cheese salad where the chicken is replaced with golden, almond crusted cottage cheese chunks.

But the place is indeed a haven for the carnivores. Right from their Miami key west shrimps, which is served with Caribbean mango chilli sauce, rice and seasonal veggies, to their New Orleans jambalaya, which is sautéed chicken and shrimp in a Cajun cream sauce served with spicy rice. Another dish worth trying is the Chicago braised lamb ribs, which are simmered in their own juices and served with some roasted garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Though the food is priced on the higher side, one can visit it for a great variety in food, and also for its innovative setting and cheerful waiters. For reservation call 011- 23711991

A meal for two costs Rs.1000 (plus taxes)
