SIGNATURE DISH

Crispy spinach

House of Ming,

The Taj Mahal Hotel,

Mansingh Road

Just in case you have an aversion for spinach, this dish is designed to cure you of it and make you a fan. Who said what’s good for you has to be boring and well-behaved? The recipe for this delightful dish calls for a litre of oil! That’s what the spinach is deep fried in, then drained and rid of the excess oil. The process turns the shredded leaves delightfully crunchy.

It is mixed with onions and chopped chillies, and tossed in a wok over a high flame.

The unique touch is the salt, suger and crushed chillies added to it.

Price: Rs.455 plus taxes

Bottomline: A light food, beautifully set out. Health on a platter!
