How to step up the intensity

It is the intensity of a workout that will help you get the results you are looking for. Here is a way to increase the intensity at the gym.

If you generally take 60 minutes to complete your chest, shoulder and triceps routine, try finishing it in 45 minutes. Do not swing the weights forcefully. Accomplish the goal by resting for shorter durations between each set. If you usually take a gap of 60 seconds between sets and different exercises, reduce it to 45-50 seconds. This translates into doing more work in a shorter period of time. Based on the weights used, calories consumed and cardiovascular training done, a person can build muscle or get a lean, athletic look. This is also known as ‘quality training.’
