Cricket, a few decades ago, was a sport with a lot of technique, sophistication and grace. The game was played for the sake of sportsmanship, national pride and honour. Now, money has made the game a prime time entertainment. Added to this, scantily dressed women distract viewers and the players from the game in the name of cheering the team. We don’t need cheerleaders. Cheering is best left to the spectators.
