Censor Board’s decision
A villain in a film can be depicted as a bad character only by showing him drinking, smoking or fighting. Just dialogues do not help to expose the villainous character. Old film ‘Devadas’ would not have been a success, had they not shown the hero drinking. Knowing fully well that drinking or smoking are injurious to health, well informed people do the same. Is it possible for the government to put a ban on all tobacco products and alcoholic drinks. A mere ban on these scenes in films is of no use. The Censor Board should decide whether such scenes are necessary for that particular film.
