Lack of awareness

Nowadays modern technology is employed in cinema. Films are not, just a means of entertainment but are a part of people’s lives. Smoking and drinking scenes become necessary in order to differentiate the characters and to strengthen the screenplay. For example, it is necessary to show scenes involving smoking and drinking in patriotic films like Gandhi in order to differentiate the culture and nationality of the people. Smoking and drinking scenes in films do not affect people’s mind much. Lack of awareness among people and not necessarily films is the reason for their irresponsible lifestyle. Immediate steps must be taken in the interest of public welfare apart from commercial interest.
