Growing

Craze for engineering and medicine is growing by the day. But these are not the only means for a bright future. The education system is such that candidates with a high retention power make it to medicine and premier engineering insitutions. This is not the right selection criterion. Application oriented practical questions and twisters to test technical skills for engineering and industry updates in medicine must be tested. An entrance test is mandatory. The main reason for this hype is the attractive job opportunities offered by IT and ITES. Can’t students of arts and science courses shine? Evergreen courses like B.Com, BBA, pure and applied sciences and management studies have a better scope and future. With computer and software jobs nearing a saturation point it is high time students chose a different path. More opporutunities in mechatronics, advanced sciences in specialised areas of core physics, life sciences, bio tech etc are turning out to be the vertex of future advancements. Basic computing techniques have become a compulsion for shining in any field of study. Soft skills, communicative techniques and analytical skills are significant for students of all streams.
