Once the parents admit their wards in a school or college, they think that they must come out as engineers or Doctors. If the country is full of engineers or doctors alone, what will happen to the other disciplines? The main reason for this trend prevailing among students is “high scoring marks”. In State Board education, marks are awarded generously. But the quality of education is not up to the mark. Everybody aims to become a doctor or an engineer and see no career beyond engineering and medicine, which have been commercialised now. Equal importance should be given to all other courses.
