Raghav Sachar is young and has oodles of talent. A musician who can play more than 30 different instruments, he has albums such as ‘For the first time,’ ‘24 Carat’ and ‘Play it out Loud,’ to his credit and has directed the music for movies such as ‘Kabul Express’ and ‘One Two Three.’ He has also lent his voice for songs like ‘Kabul Fiza’ (‘Kabul Express’) and ‘Manzar’ (‘Sunday’).

Now, Raghav is set to try his luck as an actor in Kabir Sadanand’s movie ‘Tum Milo To Sahi,’ which stars Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Anjana Sukhani and Suniel Shetty, to name a few.

Playing Raghav Sachar

“I play myself, Raghav Sachar, a rock star in the movie. I have around three to four scenes in total,” says Raghav with a grin. He adds: “As I am playing myself, it shouldn’t be too difficult to get into character.”

The movie, he says, is about love. “It’s about the different phases of being in love – courtship, marriage and companionship as depicted by three couples. Anjana Sukhani and I play one such couple. Anjana plays a love-struck fan of mine.”

Raghav has two songs in the movie – ‘Oh Jaane Maan’ and a promo song for the movie. “The promo song is unique as it has a mix of dialogues and vocals a la the evergreen ‘Kabhi Kabhi.’ The song gives a gist of the movie. ‘Oh Jaane Maan’ is a romantic song. I try to win my girl back in that song.”

Although the movie has yet to start shoot, preparations are already afoot. “Dance rehearsals, costume fittings, song recordings… it has been crazy, but fun.”

Apart from being busy with the preparations for ‘Tum Milo To Sahi,’ Raghav is also busy tuning the music for ‘Daddy Cool’ and ‘Loot.’ In a ‘dog-eat-dog’ industry, Raghav has a godfather of sorts in Suniel Shetty.

“He liked my work in ‘One, Two, Three’ where I sing both male and female vocal in a song and has been recommending me ever since. In fact I will be rendering a couple of songs for a few upcoming movies from his production house, Popcorn,” says Raghav who was in the city for a private concert.

Says Raghav: “I enjoy performing in Kerala. The audience know and appreciate music here. Also the beach, the lush greenery and the backwaters are absolutely invigorating. The last time I was here I traversed through the backwaters and had a great time. I’m hoping to squeeze in some time this time round too,” says the multi-faceted artiste signing off.
