THE INCREDIBLE HULK

The superhero is back. Yes, barely had we forgotten “The Hulk” that we get a taste of “The Incredible Hulk”, kicking off an action-packed epic of one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Director Louis Leterrier brings to us the story of a scientist who hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk :Starring Edward Norton, the film gets us the hero’s dilemma: should he accept a peaceful life or find heroism in the creature he holds inside.

DUVIDHA

Sharat Kumar is a much respected author who has also given us thought-provoking stuff on television. Now he dabbles in film-making turning his own novel “Lal Kothi Alvida” into a feature film. Without any stars, the film aims to get across to the masses with its story set in the 1930s’ India. There is a dedicated Congress worker whose son is faced with a Hobson’s choice: should he sell the age-old bungalow or retain it even if he is settled elsewhere. High on emotions and neat twists, “Duvidha” is running in limited shows.

KHUSHBOO

Pahlaj Nihalani is known for mainstream blockbusters. This time in this Rajesh Ram Singh film he presents a love story “Khushboo” whose music is making waves. Popular singer Adnan Sami has given music to this newcomers’ saga where seasoned lyricist Javed Akhtar has provided the songs. If the film is even half as good as another by the same name by Gulzar in the 1970s, it might just turn out to be a pleasant surprise for cinemagoers.
