Germany’s goalkeeper Jens Lehmann had a long-standing rivalry with team mate Oliver Kahn, whose presence had prevented Lehmann from becoming the number one goalkeeper of the German national team. Now that Kahn has decided to retire, Lehmann will be Germany’s goalkeeper for the next World Cup.
