Voice your views: Careers beyond engineering and medicine

Simply crazy

There is a craze among today’s students to take up engineering and medical careers only. These courses later get them white collar jobs and easy dollars. Even an IAS officer cannot earn what an engineering or medical employee earns. Nobody realises that there is also the option of pursuing agriculture, business management and administration, public relations and marketing, travel and tourism, journalism and mass communication and teaching as careers and build a self reliant nation. Unfortunately, even engineers and doctors, after completion of their professional course, go abroad for advance studies and seek jobs there.

All that glitters is not gold. One should seek and find out which is gold with everlasting or sustainable quality.
