Ajmal on a roll

After the success of “Anjathae”, there’s no looking back for doctor-turned-model-turned-actor Ajmal.

Though he’s in no hurry to sign films, it’s raining offers for this tall, understated actor from Kerala. The hero’s friend-turned-foe in “Anjathae” says, “I’ve just wrapped up Madambi with Mohanlal. It was a great experience. Now, I’ll be doing two Tamil films — GV Films’ “TN 07 AL 4777” and an untitled one from the Pyramid Saimira stable. I want to play different roles. I’m ready to experiment with my characters and looks.

Thanks to “Anjathae”, I got instant recognition though I shared screen space with other actors. I was practising medicine when I entered films. Today, I’ve no regrets. It’s a dream come true. Things are looking up.”
