Tradition never dies

Dig into original Awadhi cuisine

Delhi never seems to have enough of Indian food. While foreign cuisine varieties have made their presence felt, at the end of the day, the Mughlai and Awadhi cuisine continues to hold its own.

Luxurious comfort, warm hospitality combined with a convenient location help to make Legends of India worth a visit. Located in the inner circle of Connaught Place, this restaurant-cum-bar serves great Indian food. It’s unique in different ways. It has a beer bar. And even a traditional tea lounge, which is not found easily in Delhi eateries. The tea lounge offers a large variety of teas from across India.

The restaurant specialises in Awadhi cuisine. The secret of its appetising food is that the flavours hark back to the place of origin. The Awadhi menu contains a wide variety of delicious biryanis and kormas. The nahari is sure to delight your taste buds. And the tunde ke kabab and galwati kabab are definitely worth a try.

Vegetarians have plenty to choose from. The paneers and kormas go with an impressive array of naans and rotis. Jiggs Kalra, food columnist and Legends of India owner, says, “I didn’t start this restaurant to earn money. I started it to give people a taste of something they had not had before.”
