Niagara...the Indian side

Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation opens an India office

A consistent rise in the number of Indian tourists visiting the U.S. seems to be luring the U.S. tourism authorities to take some proactive steps. Signs of their having understood the Indian market were visible when the official tourism promotion agency of the world famous destination, Niagara USA, announced the appointment of its first overseas representatives in India — Sartha Marketing Consultants.

The brief given to the India office is to create awareness about the natural beauty of Niagara Falls in the U.S. and make it a popular business hub for meetings and conferences.

“In the last couple of years we have witnessed a positive growth in the Indian market and therefore we see a huge potential,” said John H. Percy, President and CEO, Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation.

Located in the western part of New York State, Niagara is home to three great waterfalls: the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls, in which water cascades down at a rate of over 600,000 gallons per second. The heart stopping Rainbow Air Helicopter Ride and Underground Boat Ride take adventure to new heights. Luxurious hotels and traditional restaurants offer elegant comfort. Can the land of plenty not offer shopping and gaming options? Niagra won’t fail on either score.
