There’s something unique about handicrafts. No two pieces look the same, and you know an artiste has been hard at work in some corner of the country to ensure his tradition lives on. Here’s your chance to stock up on choice handicrafts. < /p>

At the Handicrafts and Handloom Expo, on at Sri Srankara Hall, Alwarpet, till June 30, feast your eyes on crafts from many States, and some from outside. Here’s a sample of what you can find. Rudrakshas from Nepal, antique silver jewellery from Jaipur, stone jewellery, lac bangles, Banjara crafts from Hyderabad, antique wood items from Jodhpur, silk paintings, non-stick kitchenware made of Seesham wood, acupressure items, and sarees from Sambhalpur.
