Homespun benefits

Hansiba, the brand promoted by Sewa Trade Facilitation Center (STFC), revealed a new range of high-end apparel, home furnishing items and accessories.

The new set of garments called the “varakh collection” owes its name to the silver work over some north Indian sweets.

Designed by the SFTC design studio and hand worked upon by Gujarati rural women artisans from Patan and Kutch, Hansiba maintains a quality that is exclusive and serves well in the metropolitan cities. A woman artisan expresses her gratitude, “I used to walk two miles everyday to my work place. At the end of each day I used to get Rs5. With Hansiba I am earning Rs.2000 to Rs.2500 every month.

With two retail outlets, one in Delhi and the other in Ahmedabad, Hansiba is planning to come up with another two stores this year.

Since beauty products are nearly a Rs.350 crore industry, everyone wants a share of the pie.Modi Revlon showcased its products through a fashion show with models wearing Revlon Professional colour cosmetics.
