If you are a fan of bhangra pop, then this piece of news is right for you. Meet Silinder Pardesi, who lives in the U.K. and has just come up with his new album titled ‘Hey Soniye!!’ A popular singer of the genre, Silinder has been on the list of favourites for Asian weddings, melas, festivals and stage shows in that country.

In New Delhi to launch his album, Silinder is hopeful of bhangra pop going up the ladder of popular music. “You know it is very difficult to change a trend, and it takes time for the people to shift themselves from one genre to another but I am sure that soon bhangra will rule Europe,” he says.

Silinder’s album has already been voted the best video on Zee U.K. and the singer says hishard work and dedication towards music is the secret of his success. “I have always given my 110 per cent to my work because I believe even if you give 100 per cent of your effort, there is still a chance of failure and I don’t want to be a failure.”

“The raw appeal, soul, rap, reggae and pop” is said to be the album’s USP. Besides, Silinder, the album features the trio Juggy d, Veronica and Rishi rich. The album has 11 tracks spanning a diversity of styles and themes including Bollywood and bhangra. The video of the title track ‘Hey Soniye’ features Neeru Bajwa, the herioine of the Punjabi film Dil Apna Punjabi.

The album has been recorded at Spectral Harmony studios in Mumbai and Rishi Rich studios in the U.K.
