June Rock Out, part II, on July 5

If you liked the first part of JRO ’08 last weekend (June 28), get ready for more with JRO part II this Saturday (July 5). The event is going to be even bigger and better than the first part, with a line-up of 8 bands plus an extra bonus band headed your way.
The participating bands are not only from all over the country, but one of them (Gandhi’s Cookbook) is from Dubai.
The bands playing on Saturday are Lionel Mascarenhas (Mumbai), Ahimxa (Assam), Gandhi’s Cookbook (Dubai), Grey Shack (Chennai), Silver (Pune), Pipers (Bangalore), Slain (Bangalore), Hobos (Kolkata) and the bonus band, Null Friction, which is from Chennai.
In addition to the music, the winners of the Live Awards will be announced during the event. Instituted in memory of Leon Ireland, the late frontman of band Moksha, the award will be given to the ‘Best Outstanding Vocalist of the Year’, selected from demos sent in from bands throughout the nation.
