Shahi Gilouti Kabab

The Great Kabab Factory

Radisson Hotel,

Delhi

If kabab is the king of snacks, then The Great Kabab Factory has to be the king of the kingmakers. And of all the kababs rolled out by the Factory, the Shahi Gilouti Kabab — or just Gilouti Kabab — gets the status of emperor.

Shallow-fried on a tawa or mahi tawa, the gilouti comes off smoking hot, fragrant and succulent. Its melt-in-the-mouth texture leaves a lingering flavour that is at once satisfying and whets your appetite for more.

An emperor is seldom left alone. The Gilouti’s entourage includes a host of other kinds of kababs. In true palace guard tradition, these change every day at The Great Kabab Factory. And then there are the various ministers — seven varieties of bread to choose from, besides two types of dal and a vegetable dish. Not to mention the biryani, quietly fragrant, always at hand but never imposing itself. The dishes are available as veg and non-veg options.

Price: The entire durbar — oops, buffet — comes for Rs.750 plus taxes.

Bottomline: It combines the fun and easy eating of a snack with the wholesomeness of a meal
