From script to screen, Suresh Joachim plans to set a record

Imagine making a film — right from writing the script and canning the shots to premiering it in the cinemas — in just 12 days! Canada-based Tamilian Suresh Joachim, is doing just that. On December 8, Suresh will commence work on a Tamil f
ilm. “All the work relating to the film will have to be wrapped up before it is shown to the Censor Board and screened in the cinemas on the 12th day. The director and producer will come to the shooting spot without the script on December 8 ! On completion of the feat, all the artists and technicians involved in the project will be given certificates by the Guinness Records,” discloses Suresh.
“The film will be directed by Amaladas. The cast comprises popular actors such as Navya Nair, who plays the female lead,” smiles Suresh, who will don the lead role. “I hope to rope in Vivek, Prakash Raj and Nasser too. V.T. Vijayan will edit the film, while Deva will compose the music. Soundararajan, Selva R, Indrajit Nellai and P. Selladurai will handle the camera work.”
When asked why he was doing this, he said, “I’m a Tamilian, I wanted to do something meaningful here. Besides, one can’t ignore the magnificent contribution of Tamil cinema to the world. Right now, I stand second in the world with 52 Guinness Records. I hope to make it to the number one slot with the most number of records. My ultimate dream is to set 500 records. So after this film, I hope to pull off a ‘running feat’ (600 km in one week), sing songs by Elvis Presley for 75 hours, ride a motorbike non-stop for 24 hours, watch movies continuously for 120 hours and make the most number of costume changes in a film. I think I have the determination to realise my dreams,” he smiles.
That’s not all; he hopes to help children around the world through a peace-and-fund-raising journey that will cover 88 cities in 54 countries starting December 2009.
