MTV’s Rannvijay has taken a leap into the world of Hindi cinema

Big screen dreams Rannvijay
Rannvijay, he of MTV Roadies fame, has taken a leap into the world of Hindi cinema.
The VJ-turned-actor’s first film Mumbai Cutting…A City Unfolds is already doing the rounds of the world’s major film festivals and has bagged a few awards too.
The film comprises 10 short films of 10 minutes each, made by directors such as Sudhir Mishra, Anurag Kashyap, Rahul Dholakia, Kundan Shah, Revathy and Shashank Ghosh. Each film revolves around Mumbai, and Rannvijay features in Shashank Ghosh’s flick.He will also be seen in Toss, which also features Ashmit Patel, Aarti Chhabria and others. He also has a Mahesh Manjrekar’s film, and of course, his new romance-based reality show Splitsville on MTV. “I am working towards making Rannvijay a brand. MTV’s Roadies is a huge platform but Bollywood is bigger. And I want to make it big wherever I am. MTV is my bread and films is my butter,” says Rannvijay!
