A ‘pie & steak’ festival at GRT Grand
|
A “Pie & Steak” festival is on at the GRT Grand till July 18. It features hot favourites from traditional English cuisine and also an assortment of Asian steaks. Pies with fragrant crusty shells and interesting fillings and toppings are a great ‘anytime’ snack.
Tuna lombardia, tuna medallion with guacamole drizzle and balsamic glaze, surf n turf, grilled beef tournedos with grilled bay prawns on a sizzler, twist o mist, chicken plait with cheese stuffing and barbecued dried tomatoes, old ’n’ steal, exotic honey roasted ham steak with virgina sauce and smoked veggies are few of the steaks on the menu.
As for pies, there are baked peppe souffle, lobster souffle on a boat of young red pepper coulis, potter pie, traditional red meat pound pie with pumpkin, laced with sweet crust, veronica pie, black currant and chicken with green pepper on a bed of olive broth, mince pie, traditional beef mince pie with herbed cheese fondue latticed with duchess.
The vegetarian section features mud pie, brandy flambeed mushroom and potato bell pepper mousse, exotic timbale, pickle roasted veggies embedded with asparagus and crust baked
The delectable desserts includes frangipane blueberry pie, double fudge ivory pie, deep gooey prune and apple lattice pie.
