Remix is an attempt to combine eastern and western culture, but ends up nowhere. Music is predominant in remix, suppressing the value of lyrics and melody. Though the use of hi-tech gadgets and peppy voices attracts the young, the purpose of reviving the hits of the golden era is defeated. The decibel levels destroy the feel of the songs. Remixes are fine as part of private albums and should not spill over to films.
