 Samsung Omnia

Waking up to the iPhone buzz, Samsung recently launched the Omnia, which it claims to be an improvement on both the first generation iPhone and the Samsung Instinct.

The Omnia looks similar to the Instinct; however it’s a bit chunky when compared to the iPhone.

The touch-screen smartphone, which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, comes with an Opera 9.5 browser. It has 3G, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and EDGE connections, so you can switch to the one you want.

Unlike most TouchWiz phones to date, the Samsung Omnia i900 offers a range of multimedia features, including a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and face detection as well as support for DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264 WMV and MP4 video files.

A step higher than the Sony Xperia, this has a 3.2-inch LCD screen, so you can sweep and drag easily.
