Will Smith is here, yet again promising to carry a film on his powerful shoulders. This time in and as Hancock, a Sony Pictures’ offering that is sure to thrill lovers of action and adventure. Add the gorgeous Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman, and you have a film that offers almost everything to suit Indian cinemagoers.

The superhero flick has opened in English and Hindi versions with great publicity and advance booking preceding the release.

KUNG FU PANDA


Kung fu fascinates many in this part of the world. Now bring up Panda, a big fan of kung fu and you have the material ready for a blockbuster? Well, surely if you can add the voiceover of Dustin Hoffman and Jack Black in directors John Stevenson and Mark Osborne offering that is sure to tickle the kids in its multiple language avatars. Po, the panda is likely to remind many of their childhood.

JAANE TU YA… JAANE NA


This one came riding on hope and has settled down with confidence at the box office. The debut film of Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran, has shown more than a glimpse of the young man’s talent. With his quiet confidence and soothing screen presence he is likely to be around, starring in more chocolate boy romances as he does here. Giving him company is the lively Genelia and the evergreen Naseeruddin Shah and his wife Ratna Pathak Shah.
