Masala and wine make some pair at The Taj Palace

Wine is no longer a novelty in India. But combining it with Indian cuisine is not yet a frequent practice. But restaurants and hotels have started experimenting with delightful results. The Taj Palace Hotel recently held a “Masala Wine” experience at its Roshanara Hall to show how masalas and wines can be combined and enjoyed.

The menu offered a unique opportunity to relish Masala cuisine complemented with German wines brought across by a renowned brewery, Schloss Vollards.

The experience had class and finesse as a grand four course meal was dished out from Grand Chef Hemant Oberoi’s signature Masala Art restaurant. Each course was paired with fine quality wine from the Rhine brewery.

It proved to be an experience for both the wine connoisseurs and the diehard foodies. Food and wine pairing is in the limelight.
