Crooner No. 1?

Actor-politician Govinda adds a new dimension to his profile with his forthcoming film “Loot”, in which he turns a singer. The hero of scores of inane comedies has recorded a song that combines good melody and fine verse for music director Shamir Tandon (of “Page 3”, “Corporate” and “Traffic Signal” fame). Incidentally, it was the same musician who made Urmila Matondkar and Sanjay Dutt croon to his melodies earlier. Says Sham ir, “It’s a though-provoking song. Govinda liked it so much, that when I suggested he sing it himself, he was willing. The audio launch will happen in October.” So finally, there’s no need for Govinda to do what actors do best — simply lip sync!
