Garments from Pakistan

An exhibition of salwar suits and saris from Pakistan is on sale at Body N Soul at Mayflower Shakti Complex (first floor) on Nanjundapuram Road.

Tola and sequin work, zardosi and exquisite embroidery embellish the garments. There are clothes for every occasion from formal and chic to informal and elegant.

Srishti 2008


Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu returns with Srishti 2008. Craftspeople, weavers and designers from the length and breadth of the country are visiting Coimbatore with their wares. These include jewellery, handlooms, linen, Tanjore and Jaipur paintings and a treasure trove of artefacts from all over. Exquisite saris in cottons, tussars and silks will be on sale. The exhibition is on between July 18 and 20 from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. The venue is the Velumaniammal Kalyanamandapam, Avarampalayam.

Entry is free. And, there is parking facility.

Session on Harry Potter

It has been a year since The Deathly Hallows was released. The Oxford Bookstore has decided to commemorate that event with a Harry Potter session.

The theme is “The legend of Harry Potter, a story to recap all the seven stories”.
