Petrol prices have registered a steep rise the world over. It has been reported that a large number of people in the Philippines have done away with two and four-wheelers due to petrol price hike and now prefer to travel by public transport. This shows inflation is an universal phenomenon. It is the duty of the government to take effective steps to check inflation.
