An action-packed, all-new series on wildlife to keep you glued on National Geographic Channel from July 23

BURNING BRIGHT Watch out for the predators
National Geographic Channel premieres a new season of ‘World’s Deadliest Animals’ on July 23, 9 p.m. Join the channel’s team as it goes on a tour exploring the dense forests of Asia, the marshy lands of the Asia Pacific, the jungles of the Amazon and the i terra firma of Central America.
The series explores the unseen side of wildlife in their natural aura. Viewers will not only be able to see these graceful animals in their element but also learn about their distinctive characteristics and what makes them the deadliest.
‘World’s Deadliest Animals’ features seven episodes of an hour each. To survive, the animals that inhabit Asia have evolved into the toughest of the tough. The land is inhabited by the white-lipped pit viper, spitting cobras that spew venom at the same velocity as a water pistol and accurately target a predator’s eye up to 8 feet away.
In Asia Pacific, people compete for space with some of the most impressive animals in the world — large and powerful predators such as the polar bear which hunt seals for food, stalk the snowy landscape in Siberia, and the salt water crocodile that patrols the tropical waters of the Pacific and have an uncanny ability to kill creatures the size of an adult water buffalo in one swoop.
Face the anaconda, aquatic coral snake, crocodiles and bull sharks that reside in the jungles of the Amazon.
Then watch out for the episode on Costa Rica where jaguars and jumping vipers wait with bated breath to pounce on their prey.
The contest
The series will be promoted through an interactive online, SMS and print campaign. Viewers can test their wildlife knowledge by sending the word ‘Wild’ through SMS to 57827 and every week the highest scorer gets a chance to win Nat Geo Collector’s Edition DVD pack. The grand prize at the end of the contest is an all-expense paid trip for two couples to Jim Corbett National Park.
