Child labour

The recent incident of 16-year-old Shinjini Sengupta has opened a Pandora’s box. Though reality shows promise huge prize money and an entry into the glam world, they could prove to be taxing for young minds. Most often, parents are to be blamed for having unrealistic expectations from kids. Though many organisers of such shows say Shinjini’s case is an exception, the fact remains that these shows could be considered a form of child labour.
