Need of the hour

The unprecedented rise in inflation and the consequent spiralling of prices of essential commodities has pushed the life of the common man to the brink. The situation demands quick redressal from the powers that be. While the common man is helpless and aghast at the situation, the Government is doing very little to redeem the situation. The UPA Government has hardly initiated any reassuring measures to control inflation and sky rocketing prices. The need of the hour is some deterrent action against hoarding, ban on online trading which is seen as the major culprit for the rising prices and strengthening of the public distribution system.

V.SUBASHINI,

Tiruchi
