East meets West at T.G.I.F

Yummy! Fried Mac & cheese available at T.G.I.F

Just when you thought you had decided upon your favourite food, here is an irresistible combination. The East meets West at the T.G.I.F. outlets across New Delhi. The American restaurant chain has just brought into their menu a list of interesting dishes mixing the cheesy, creamy tastes of American food with the spicy traditions of Asia. In all, the “The East Meet West” menu has 56 combination of two-course meals. For those cheese lovers who are ready to jog an extra mile the next morning, there’s fried Mac & cheese as an appetizer plus Friday’s cheese burger from the list of entrees. Besides, Friday’s mushrooms, Soho Asian nachos, sesame Jack chicken strips and chicken wings are there to pick as appetisers. The list of entrees includes chilly-pepper chicken, pineapple Mojito fish over Spanish rice, half rack baby back pork ribs, chicken fingers, barbecue chicken salad among other dishes.

Right now, the vegetarians can only go in for spicy cottage cheese tchoupatolis, where spice rubbed paneer with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and garlic is cooked in mustard sauce and served on a bed of rice.

The “East meets West” menu offers a two-course fare – either an appetiser or a dessert with the entrée. One of the two desserts on the menu, Sorbet Martini, has scoops of creamy fruits sorbets with strawberries and pineapples topped with sparkling fruit juice. The other one is where different temperatures meet — double chocolate fudge brownie is actually chocolaty bread, three tiers of it, just out of the oven and topped with vanilla ice cream, melting before your eyes into the mesh of caramel sauce on the plate.

A two-course meal costs Rs.600 per person.
