Good for awareness

Scheduled power cuts in Hyderabad are being taken with a pinch of salt. As long as the cuts do not extend into the night hours, as an environmentally aware person, I feel these cuts will help the city dwellers sit up and realise the gravity of the situation. Power cuts also help to reduce undesirable sounds produced by several noisy activities in the neighbourhood. The natural calm of our surroundings can be felt for a few moments at least, courtesy power cuts.
