INTERNET travelblog.org brings together people who post on travel
|
A fast-growing collection of travel stories from around the world (80,000 members and counting), travelblog.org brings travel bloggers together to showcase their talent in writing, photography and, of course, their exposure to different experiences.
The home page features select blogs that include both common and unconventional holiday destinations, written with a personal touch and accompanied by an option to subscribe to all entries from that particular writer.
As part of the interactive experience, you can comment on the content or send the contributor a personal message and this is possible without registering.
You will need to sign up for free before sending your stories.
The site reviews all entries before putting them up for public access, but the copyright for all content and images remains with the blogger. In the Travel Forum section, you can get in touch with other members and ask questions about things like independent travelling and safety measures to be taken before visiting specific locations.
Click on the link ‘Other Travel Sites’ if you’re interested in looking up websites that others recommend for good deals and offers, region-specific resources and the like. In World Facts, you can pick a country and visit travel journals of people who’ve visited recently. It also has a travel forum dedicated to the area where people can post queries or answer them.
The search function, apart from enabling location searches, lets you look for users by name. If you log on, be sure to check out ‘Cool Stuff’ where there’s a collection of blogs with panoramic photographs.
